Air Force JROTC Academic Challenge

Announcing the 2008-09
Air Force JROTC Academic Challenge

The first two competitions are online --- no travel required!  And it is FREE!

As announced by Air Force JROTC Command, the College Options Foundation will be running the 2008-09 Air Force JROTC Academic Challenge.  We are especially excited about hosting a live, in-person final round.  With the support of AF JROTC Command, we will bring the top academic teams to a location, yet to be determined, to compete for top honors in this world-wide academic contest.

The Challenge will include two on-line preliminary rounds of competition between participating JROTC units, wherein one 5-person team per unit, will go on-line to compete with other AF JROTC units world wide, by answering questions posed by the Foundation (COF).  In advance of these rounds, the COF will provide ASVAB/ACT/SAT test improvement software CDs, based upon the type of questions found on these nationally recognized college entrance tests, to each participating unit to assist in preparation.  The first round, to be held online in late fall or early winter, will consist of questions from the AF JROTC curriculum as well as standard college entrance exam questions.  The second round will be held a few weeks after the first round, and will include more SAT/ACT/ASVAB questions. Winners of the preliminary rounds will then be scheduled for a Final Round at a site and date to be determined.

In order to have as much information as possible when making decisions about the dates and details of these rounds, we would like to ask ALL instructors to participate in a short survey.  Your answers to these questions will help us develop the parameters of the contest, so please take a few minutes to give us your feedback.
